mon = my, masculine singular
ma = my, feminine singular

2. Aller and venir

Je vais au parc.

Il va souvent à l’université.
Je viens du café.
Elle vient de la bibliothèque.

Aller means to go.

Venir means to come.

3. Y for places

Il y va souvent.
J’y vais avec ma sœur.
Tu y vas maintenant ?
Oui, j’y vais maintenant.

Y can replace a place.

Je vais au parc.
J’y vais.

Meaning:

I am going to the park.
I am going there.

4. Recent past

Je viens de finir mes devoirs.

Venir de + infinitive means to have just done something.

Je viens de finir.

Means:

I just finished.

5. Near future

Je vais étudier ce soir.
Nous allons marcher et parler.

Aller + infinitive means to be going to do something.

Je vais étudier.

Means:

I am going to study.
