12.1.1. The Main Idea

To ask for directions in French, use où, comment aller à, or pour aller à.

Où est la gare ?	Where is the train station?
Comment aller à la gare ?	How do I get to the train station?
Pour aller à la gare, s’il vous plaît ?	How do I get to the train station, please?
Je cherche la gare.	I am looking for the train station.

To give directions, use commands such as tournez, allez, continuez, and prenez.
